There are countless beautiful villages that you have to see in Catalonia, some of them are even considered the most beautiful villages in Spain. Many of them are old medieval villages, with their typical stone houses and streets, and other old fishing villages that are located in some of the best corners of the Costa Brava. We have made a list of what we consider are the 10 villages you have to see in Catalonia. Although we cannot forget that there are many more towns in Catalonia that deserve a visit such as: Miravet, Santa Pau, Vielha, Artiés, Tossa de Mar, Mura, Llivia, Beget, Begur, Castellfollit de la Roca, Barruera….

1. Cadaqués

Cadaqués, one of the most beautiful villages we have visited. Old fishing village that retains all its charm, highlighting its white houses, narrow streets and fishing boats on the sand of its coves. Salvador Dalí refuge together with the neighboring town of Port Lligat, Cadaqués is a safe bet and more if we tell you that it is surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Natural Park of Cap de Creus, a true spectacle for the senses.

2. Guimerà

Guimerá is without any doubt one of the villages you have to see in Catalonia, especially for its medieval past that you can live through its streets and stone houses. Full of corners to sit and move a few centuries ago, Guimerà is located in the Corb Valley, in the province of Lleida. A good route through the town of Guimerà would start by walking along the river, from where we will enjoy incredible views of Guimerà, which is located on the side of a hill, to the part of the castle and the church.
